About The Program

The Sound Off for Poverty educates young people about poverty in America, and empowers them to do something about it by raising awareness and funds to help people in need. By conducting a Media Fast (abstaining from electronic entertainment for at least three days), young people tune out life’s distractions and tune in to God’s heart for the poor.

 

Last year thousands of teenagers across the nation participated in The Sound Off for Poverty, a program offered by Love In the Name of Christ—a national movement of Christian churches working together across denominations to help people in need.
